In a significant move to enhance cultural and cinematic interactions between Iran and Tajikistan, the two nations have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cinematic cooperation.
According to the General Department of Public Relations of the Cinema Organization of Iran, the agreement was inked by Mohammad Saeed Shahian, Head of Cinematic Affairs of Tajikistan, and Mohammad Khazaei, Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the Director of the Cinema Organization of Iran (COI), who was on a two-day visit to Tajikistan.
Khazaei, during the signing ceremony, emphasized the importance of fostering regional collaborations and strengthening bonds with neighboring countries. He highlighted the shared historical, cultural, and linguistic heritage between Iran and Tajikistan, believing that cinematic partnerships can yield immense benefits for both nations.
