The president of the Iranian Cinema Organization has appointed Behrouz Shoaibi as secretary of the 43rd Tehran International Short Film Festival.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Iranian Cinema Organization, Raed Faridzadeh issued a decree appointing Behrouz Shoaibi as secretary of the 43rd edition of the Tehran International Short Film Festival.
The decree, addressed to the managing director of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, reads:
“In view of your valuable artistic and executive experience, you are hereby appointed secretary of the 43rd Tehran International Short Film Festival and a member of the festival’s Policy Council. It is hoped that, with the assistance of Almighty God, at a time when the honorable defense of our beloved homeland by the courageous people of Iran during the Third Imposed War has strengthened national unity and solidarity, this major national and international event will be held in a fitting and distinguished manner, with the cooperation and active participation of filmmakers and young artists.”
Shoaibi also served as secretary and a member of the Policy Council of the festival’s 42nd edition.
In addition to his filmmaking activities over the past two decades, Shoaibi, the managing director of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, has served as secretary of the Razavi Short Film Festival and as a member of selection committees and juries at various film festivals.
The 43rd Tehran International Short Film Festival will be held in Tehran in fall 2026.
